There are the parents who constantly find fault with their children and then wonder why the look of wonder leaves their eyes. And I think perhaps God weeps when he hears a parent do nothing but carp or criticize.

And since the average mother actually communicates with her child thirty minutes in a days time and the average father 15 minutes…to waste much of that time finding fault is really first class foolishness.

Children are a sponge and they are constantly absorbing what we spread around to be absorbed. They listen to loves and our hates and our angers and our prejudices.

They learn how we really feel about God because they watch how importantly we treat his commandments. Or not.

The Bible teaches what is right and wrong but they are watching you and me and they are learning how we feel about these teachings by what we do or do not do.

They regularly attend the University of Mom and Dad and grand mother and grand father. He was just a young boy but he was already working long hours in a factory in Naples. He had a dream and that dream was to be a singer. When he was 10 years old he took his first lesson. His teacher told his mother she was wasting her money.

“His voice sounds like the wind blowing through shutters.”

But the little boy’s mother had faith in her son and she shared his dream and is dream became their dream. And she taught him the monumental lesson of never giving up.

And her understanding of him, her confidence in him, paid off and the world had an Enrico Caruso.

Few parents have a child who will become an Enrico Caruso but what a gift to give to a child, the gift of faith in he or she.

“I believe in you son. I will support your dreams daughter. I will walk with you and stumble with you and leave no doubt in your mind that my prayers for you are often.”

Edit these words TO FIT YOUR OWN CIRCUMSTANCE but give something like them to your child…and the angels will sing an extra stanza and the stars will give an extra twinkle in reply.

“I have always been intrigued by a question God put to Adam, “Where are you?” Why did He ask that? What is the meaning behind this? It wasn’t a geographical question, for certainly God knew the answer to that one.

BELOW IS A QUOTE FROM the SERIES on this Wyrick’s Writings site entitled ANGER IS A KILLER.

“Do you enjoy visiting friends? More than likely you’re thinking, Preacher, of course, I do.
Now let me ask the other side of the coin - Do you enjoy visiting enemies? No?

Well, I know you must enjoy visiting at least one enemy because, like myself, you probably visit this one quite often. Unfortunately, we all …visit this enemy…whose name is anger.

Some visit anger seldom . Some on a regular basis. And during those visits, some spew and others stew.”
