The great physician Sir William Osler put it so very well when he
wrote about this thing called Faith that feeds our souls, “Nothing in life is
more wonderful than faith… the one great moving force which we can neither
weigh in the balance nor test in the crucible.”
The great physicist, Max Planck, wrote, “Anybody who has been
seriously engaged in scientific work of any kind realizes that over the
entrance to the gates of the temple of science are written the words ‘Ye must
have faith.”
And the great preacher, Dr. Harry Emory
Fosdick, penned years ago, "Man cannot live without faith because the
prime requisite in life's adventure is courage, and the sustenance of courage
is faith."
God? Very few deny His
existence, but far too many don’t act terribly excited about it.
A left-over God given a few of your
left-over minutes? Not to be
recommended. Not to be recommended at
all.
