A Moor wrote in the fourteenth century that the Germans were tall of stature and light of skin but he had heard that they did not take baths.

When the Ohio territory applied for statehood, a member of Congress said, “They are rude and unlettered. They will never make good citizens.”

So what happened?

The British developed an empire.

The Germans become outstanding in science, philosophy, music and art. And Ohio has given us seven Presidents.
